Perhaps like me, you also enjoy listening to the Eye of the Tiger song by Survivor. The courage to succeed is a prerequisite to eventually 'getting the glory'.
I am happy to say, In my case, "glory" has been passing a number of national exams. My most recent being the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT), but others include a Personal Trainer certification with the American Council on Exercise, BASI Pilates, and other related certifications. While I've never been "certified" in conversational Russian, my achievement in that ability was forged out of years living in that country (teaching at an international school), which frequently meant swallowing my pride with my many grammatical mistakes, but continuing to make improvements through systematic study and a "growth mind-set" as described by author Carol Dweck Stanford University professor and author. The power of "not yet".
