Hello! My name is Daniel and I am currently a freshman at the University of Miami studying Mathematics (specifically Probability and Statistics). I am so happy you are here! I have been a math tutor for 4 years and have a passion for it. I love to help people and make them feel comfortable with the material that they are studying. I try to make sessions as enjoyable as possible and help you as best as I can. The most important thing during a session in my opinion is relating to a student and understanding what concepts or steps they are confused on. Being a student myself, I understand the common mistakes that students make because there was probably a time where I made the same mistake! At the end of the day, I just want to help students and make math a little more enjoyable for them. Personally, I have always had a strong in-cling for math. However, I know this is quite rare and that math is a subject that does not come easily to most students. I would love to make things easier and learn to overcome obstacles together.
A little bit about me:
-I graduated as salutatorian from my high school class of about 900 students
-I did speech and debate in high school for 3 years and won awards locally and nationally. It taught me effective and efficient communication. -I won awards for being a top student in Precalculus, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Geometry, AP Environmental Science, and Debate (Twice!)
-I have worked with students all the way from kindergarten to college freshman!
-I mostly tutor Math but I have recently started tutoring Spanish, Science, and SAT/ACT Math and English
I am excited to get to know you and work with you! Feel free to reach out!
