I received my master's degree in cultural anthropology from Florida State University. During that time, I was a teaching assistant gaining experience in leading class discussions, assisting students with assignments, and understanding the best methods in establishing a curriculum that allows students to better understand the material. It is this discussion-based method and relating the material to present-day situations that I adapted into my teaching philosophy. I believe students learn more efficiently with this method instead of only memorizing the information. I am most interested in anthropology, religion, and humanities courses. Being bilingual in Spanish allows me to also tutor this course. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, video editing, learning ASL, and boxing.
