Hello, my name is Deborah. I love math and science. Physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, calculus, algebra, differential equations, you name it! My passion led me to study physics and astronomy at University of South Florida, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, and to continue my education with a Masters in Nuclear Physics at Iowa State University.
I have had a passion for teaching math and science since I discovered my own passion for science in high school. Through my undergraduate career, I volunteered to do outreach at middle schools, high schools, and even some theme parks! In that time I instructed students from elementary school all the way up to high school. Later in my undergraduate career, I found a love for one on one instruction and I became a private tutor. That was when I discovered a passion for teaching mathematics, as math is needed in many subjects: science, engineering, technology, and even business. In graduate school I was a TA and I enjoyed teaching Newton's Laws to the next generation of mechanical engineers.
I know that science and math can be difficult subjects to conquer on your own, which is why I'm here to help. I want math and science to be accessible to anyone who wishes to study it. I want my students to gain a deep understanding of their studies, so they can determine if science or math are their passion.
