I graduated college with a B.A in Political Science, a Masters degree in Education in Special Education, and an Education Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education.
I have been an educator for 18 years, teaching regular education and special education curriculum for elementary school students. I am highly committed in helping students succeed in their learning. Through my experience I have the ability to work with diverse populations and am sensitive to the needs of regular and students with learning disabilities. I have provided targeted and intensive instruction for children with exceptional academic needs, and have also taught children in regular education settings focusing on math, language arts, science, social studies and social skills.
I am an educator at heart.
During my teaching years I came to the conclusion that every child is an eager learner when provided with authentic instruction that incorporates their learning style. Educators should recognize their students' needs and implement proven strategies that help children invest in their own learning. My goal is to support all children I get the privilege to teach, reach their full potential.
