I am a graduate of Western Washington University (WWU) with a Bachelors Degree in Japanese and a minor in Communication Studies. In addition, I have studied abroad in Japan, first as part of a study program through Green River College at Kogakuin University, and later as an official exchange student at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, where I worked as a Language Lounge tutor for local students. I have also worked frequently with international students while at WWU, especially through the Asia University American Program, as well as an officer of the university's Japanese Conversation Club. I am passionate about learning languages, self studying Spanish and German in addition to my degree in Japanese. I believe that a good tutor should be able to be creative in crafting lessons that are focused around a student's level of study, and to help them understand their material better.
