I am a senior at the University of Georgia, majoring in biology with a concentration in pre-med. I have a strong passion for biology, and I hope to help my students understand the fascinating world of life sciences. Before joining the Varsity Tutors team, I was a tumbling instructor. I've worked with children from different age groups and understand the importance of patience. Also, I was a cheerleader at the Stingray Allstars, and many things that I learned during my athletic career has transpired to my professional career. Working alongside astonishing people of various genders, sexualities, racial, and cultural backgrounds allowed me to adopt a broader sense of collaboration and understand the importance of diversity. I am new to tutoring, but I hope to learn new teaching styles that will best suit my students. I firmly stand by constructive criticism to which I believe is the best way of learning. I encourage my students to give me feedback, as I am learning with them as well. I am open to new forms of teaching and will tailor my teaching styles based on how individual students learn. I look forward to growing alongside my students.
Education & Certification
Undergraduate Degree: University of Georgia - Bachelor of Science, Biology, General
My interest outside academia includes tumbling, gaming, and popular trends. I was a cheerleader for five years during high school and my first year of college. Cheerleading has taught me many life lessons that have carried over to my personal and professional life. I enjoy playing video games as well as watching others play. I like to play different genres, from role-playing games to strategy games to action-adventure games, and even board games. Also, I love to stay connected to popular trends in fashion, music, and technology. I find inspiration through fashion and music because they help me define myself as a person.
