I am a recent graduate of Rice University, a top 20 university that most people have never heard of. I received a B.S. in physics with a concentration in biophysics, as well as a minor in computational and applied math. I focus my tutoring efforts in math, programming, the physical sciences, and test prep. I derive most of my tutoring experience from a year working in a tutoring center, where I taught science, math, and test prep at all grade levels, including college. I have also lead programming courses at a tech summer camp.
Though this statement may be stuffy, I prefer a more casual and honest approach to learning. I try my best to keep things fun and interesting in lessons, and I want to get to know my students as people. I believe the best way to learn is by doing, and so I devote as much of my instruction time as practical to working problems. I also enjoy providing mentor-ship, if you are looking for that in a tutor.

I have pretty traditionally nerdy interests, though I've become more interested in hiking since moving to the Pacific North West. If having a tutor that's into board games, dungeons and dragons and the like interests you for some reason, then I'm your guy.
