I am a Class of 2020 Skidmore College graduate! I majored in Physics, with minors in Math and Music. I enjoy teaching, and want to go to graduate school to become a Physics professor some day.
I started tutoring by helping my friends with homework, and found that I enjoyed it. This turned into tutoring Math in high school, and eventually running nightly drop-in and upper level Physics tutoring at Skidmore.
I believe anyone can become skilled in any subject with the right teaching methods and practice. Nobody is inherently bad at something---they're just unfamiliar, haven't found the right way to learn yet, or both. My tutoring style is to guide the student to the solution in a collaborative way such that they feel accomplished and understand the core physical or mathematical concepts.
I primarily tutor Physics and Math. My favorite subject to tutor is any type of Physics, because I enjoy applying math to make predictions about the real world. It's almost like magical fortune telling!

I love to perform music on my saxophone, piano, or guitar. I also enjoy hiking, podcasts, and playing board games. In Physics, I research dark matter, the large scale structure of the universe, and gravity. I find cosmology and general relativity super interesting! It's like science-fiction in real life.
