I am an educator and performing artist from Dallas, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Arts in French and English Literature from Samford University, summa cum laude, and was a member of the Samford University Fellows honors program. I also began my tutoring career during college, teaching language labs for the French department and volunteering with an after school program in Birmingham, AL. After graduation, I spent a year teaching English to middle and high school students in Strasbourg, France, where I further developed my language and teaching skills and solidified my love of all things French. I then moved to Virginia to pursue my Master of Fine Arts in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University/the American Shakespeare Center. In addition to taking graduate courses in pedagogy, I also gained practical classroom experience at Mary Baldwin as a teaching assistant for Voice and Diction, a substitute teacher for French, and an instructor for English Composition and ESL.
Since completing my graduate studies, I have been performing in musicals and classical plays and teaching theatre camps and workshops. My diverse interests in the performing and liberal arts have helped me become a more well-rounded teacher and theatre maker. My experience in theatre has made me a more creative and dynamic educator, and my academic pursuits have made me a more versatile performer. Whether you are hoping to improve your French, strengthen your writing skills, develop a love of reading, or learn how to interpret or perform Shakespeare, I would love to help you achieve your goals.

My hobbies include acting, singing, dancing, tennis playing, cooking, baking, and puzzling (jigsaw and crossword). I also love to travel, and have visited 15 countries. My favorite country to visit is France, and when I'm not able to go in person, I watch French films, bake macarons, or make Nutella crêpes to stave off the wanderlust.
