Education has always been important to me and played a critical role in my life. As a third generation educator, this work is an essential part of who I am. Having struggled through most of my schooling, it is my goal as an educator to provide an environment that supports all kinds of learners. I worked in a variety of schools and as a student teacher before graduating from Connecticut College in 2016 with a Bachelor's in Theatre and an Elementary Education Certificate. Upon graduating, I worked as an instructional support specialist in an inclusion program, providing pull out and push in services to students with IEPs. This gave me the skills to provide curriculum and instruction for students who need additional support. My work as a long term substitute of a multi-age 4th and 5th grade class, and more recently as a substitute in multiple elementary schools has helped familiarize me with the curriculum and standards of some public school systems. I have a Rhode Island Initial Educator's License in K-6th grades, and I am able to provide support with reading and writing skills, as well as organizational and executive functioning skills. My background as a playwright, performer, designer, and teaching artist gives me the ability to tutor in additional areas such as Theater for Young Performers, Acting Basics, Playwriting, and Storytelling.
