Hello! I recently graduated early from the University of New Mexico with a B.S. in Pure Mathematics and Latin. For the past 3 years I have also been conducting inorganic chemistry research on the synthesis of photoactive transition metal complexes.
Prior to graduation, I served the STEM community at my university as a tutor and student manager of the calculus and upper level math team for UNM's learning center, the Center for Academic Program Support. I have 2 years of experience tutoring university level math students of all ages and leading trainings for university calculus tutors. I additionally hold the highest tutoring certification through the CRLA International Training Program. I have a passion for making math concepts more accessible to everyone and I strive to inspire others through positive experiences with mathematical ideas.
I am also a percussion educator and I work with local high school students on concert and marching percussion techniques.
Let's have a discussion! I typically facilitate interactions by taking a visual or artistic approach to math but I'm happy to proceed with how you learn best. Regardless of the subject, I whole-heartedly believe learning is a continual process that should be available to everyone. Please don't hesitate to contact me!
