I believe that everyone deserves to learn in the way that is most helpful for them, and I love interacting with students in personal ways that encourage their growth and creativity. The teacher has a large role to play in a student's ability to understand and come to love the material. It is my goal to make that learning process fun, where I can also specifically address learning styles, needs, and concerns.
I am currently a junior at Brigham Young University majoring in Math Education. I am seeking an eventual career as a high school math teacher, with the hopes of ultimately becoming a principal or superintendent. I have tutored many students in varying levels of mathematics during high school when I grew up on Long Island, New York. I have also worked at the BYU Math Lab for over 18 months as a mathematics tutor in both lower and upper division classes, and have private tutored in these math classes as well. I have taught string bass lessons and taught English lessons during my 24-month volunteer missionary work in Italy.
During my spare time I love to be with my family, play card or board games with friends, read fantasy books, listen to music, make covers of songs on ukulele, or participate in activities like volleyball, tennis, swimming, or running.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. I love to listen to songs from video games I played growing up, as well as sing, or play the piano or ukulele. I also enjoy being active by going on runs or working out at the gym. I like to play different sports with friends such as ultimate frisbee or deck tennis. I'm a puzzle enthusiast and love to challenge my brain with a Rubik's Cube or a good escape room. I love to interact with people and make conversation with others, but I also enjoy having me time to relax by reading a good fantasy novel or taking some time to unwind and reflect.
