I believe that every student is capable of learning mathematics. They just need the tools to unlock the understanding of the math principles. One of my favorite parts of being an educator/tutor is seeing when a student has that "I get it!" moment, and they start developing the confidence that they can be good at math.
After being a math teacher for 13 years, I was fortunate enough to see many of those moments happen. Since then, I've had the opportunity to see that same "I get it!" moment through educating students in real estate investing. I'm excited about math tutoring because I have the opportunity to help a larger audience achieve their goals.
I have a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on education for second language learners. My original degree was a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, so I have a broad knowledge in applying mathematics in science as well as in business (running my own companies).
During my free time, I practice Kung Fu, play piano, and enjoy playing strategy games with family and friends. I also enjoy helping people pass their standardized tests as well. I have been able to score high on test scores with test taking strategies that I have learned, and have been fortunate to help others get the test scores that they have desired by using those strategies as well.
