I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where I majored in Neuroscience and minored in the Business of Healthcare. In college I realized that my mentors and professors made all the difference in the quality of my education. Even in challenging STEM classes, effective and flexible teaching combined with a curious and collaborative learning environment helped me excel. This is the approach that I bring to my own tutoring services. I firmly believe that every student has a different learning style, and as a tutor it is my job to meet you where you are at.
I have had prior tutoring experience as a mentor through the Foundation Scholars Program at UT Austin, where I created study plans, content prep and exam prep for my cohort of six freshmen students. I helped them excel in their first-year English, Chemistry and Biology courses. Tutoring them taught me a lot about the value in longitudinal, flexible tutoring services. I have also tutored middle school students through Mount Nebo, a service initiative for children living in Austin government housing.
I specialize in STEM classes, especially Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry. I succeeded in these classes in college, and believe my practical and flexible approach to these challenging concepts can help other students. As a tutor, I strive to put my students' learning at the forefront of my process, and am continuously improving my ability to communicate and practice effective teaching skills. Feel free to contact me with additional questions or to request a tutoring session!

I spend a lot of my free time writing and reading fiction. I have always loved the written word, and believe the pursuit of humanistic knowledge is the center of my own intellectual pursuits. Outside of my creative interests, I spend my time running and hiking the trails around my neighborhood.
