Greetings from Denver, CO! I am a Language Arts and ESL teacher who enjoys teaching students one-on-one and in small groups. I earned Bachelor's Degrees in English, Religion, and Secondary Education from Augustana University which I used to further the education of impoverished Lakota children in South Dakota, Mexican and Haitian orphans in a boarding school, Hmong refugees, and international college students, among others. Later I earned a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities where I enjoyed taking theology classes with students and professors of diverse faith backgrounds. This led to my being an interfaith hospital and hospice chaplain for many years. I have now returned to the educational field because I have missed teaching youth and adults, and I am eager to again use my academic skills and my encouraging presence to make a positive difference in a student's life. While I enjoy a wide variety of subjects, my favorites continue to be ESL, Literature and Composition.
I love to learn, and I hope to inspire that same love of learning in you!
