I graduated in 2018 from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK; I studied biblical literature and had a minor in Spanish. I had not thought a lot about learning a language before, but when I took my first Spanish class during my sophomore year, I realized that it was something I was interested in. I studied abroad in Guatemala for eight weeks, which helped a lot. Right now, I am pursuing a master of arts degree in teaching, which I plan to use to teach Spanish. Last year I was a Spanish tutor at my university. I would love to work with anyone who is looking for a Spanish tutor--whether a beginner or more advanced student. I think learning languages can be fun and can give us the opportunity to make connections with people and cultures that could not be made otherwise. I enjoy explaining grammar concepts as well as helping students practice actually using the language; I believe it is helpful to have both of these elements.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as my church community. I love books and I'm always excited to browse a bookstore. I also like watching movies, playing volleyball, and cooking and eating. My favorite food is probably ice cream.
