I am passionate about helping students succeed in the early years of their education. Teachers should get to know their students and how they learn best. The skills students learn in their elementary years are vital for continued success. School should be fun, engaging, and meaningful!
I've worked with students at the elementary, middle, high school, and collegiate level. I've even volunteer taught in San Juan, Puerto Rico! I am a licensed Early Childhood Education teacher in the state of PA. I got my bachelor's degree at Millersville University in Lancaster, PA. I tutor in Elementary School, Elementary School Math, Elementary School Reading, Elementary School Science, Elementary School Writing, English, Math, PRAXIS, PRAXIS Early Childhood, Phonics, Professional Certifications, and Science.
My favorite subject to tutor in is Elementary School Reading/Writing or Elementary School Math, because I LOVE working with kids! My teaching philosophy is to teach students to love learning through engaging, meaningful, and relevant instruction. Above all: teachers must take the time to genuinely know their students. I involve the students I tutor by using a variety of materials/media to engage and motivate students.
Outside of academics, I run a small landscaping business in the summer. I also enjoy playing my saxophone, cooking, and going to the beach!
