Hi! I am Mike Fernandez, a professional educator at East Aurora High School. I have over 28 years of professional math teaching experience in the traditional courses like Pre-Algebra through Calculus. I also work with students in the Integrated Math curriculum, Math 1, 2, and 3. Students build their confidence in math so they can be successful! I create opportunities to enhance students' knowledge each session. I have helped students prepare for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, Math College Placement, GRE and other assessments. Students have raised their ACT Math scores as much as 5 points in 4 sessions of 60 minutes each. SAT Math students have raised their scores as much as 100 points in the same amount of time.
All involved are pleased with the results. I am currently working with math students from both Downers Grove High Schools as well as Naperville North and Central High Schools. These are top school districts in the state of Illinois for academic achievement year after year. I utilize Zoom and Google Meet in conjunction with One Note and Google Folders to create sessions that mirror sitting in a library or at a kitchen table. Finally, my rate is very reasonable for the amount of experience and successful tutoring sessions I provide.
