I recently graduated from Penn State University, with a degree in International Community and Economic Development, and a minor in Global Health. October through March of this year, I was working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at a public school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During my time there, I mainly focused on improving the English reading, writing and grammar skills of my students. In addition to my work in Cambodia, I have worked with students in primary school through high school mainly in reading, writing, and public speaking skills. I believe in a student centered approach, that allows them to help guide the construction of their own lessons. I prioritize the inclusion of relevant materials that tend to the students interests and needs.
My interests outside of teaching include traveling, listening to music, cooking and most importantly, eating the dishes I cook. I look forward to working with you to become the best student you can be!
