I am currently a senior at the University of Washington. I will graduate soon with a BS in Biology with a focus on ecology, along with a minor in French language and culture. Once I finish college, I plan to get a master's in teaching. This is my first time tutoring professionally, but as the oldest of four kids I have experience tutoring all ages. I have some teaching experience from various science outreach programs such as a field trip guide and a science fair mentor. My favorite topic is biology, especially ecology and restoration, because I love to go out and get dirty. I also love literature, history, and math. Outside of school I like to illustrate for the UW newspaper, go to art museums, cook fancy meals, and play video games.
One reason I choose to teach is that my family has a history of learning disorders, I myself have been diagnosed with adult ADHD and my younger brothers experience symptoms of autism, dysgraphia, and ADHD. I understand how difficult these disorders can make school and I would like to make a difference for struggling students.
