I am a native Oregonian finishing up an undergraduate degree in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish at Southern Oregon University. Currently, I am pursuing a career in science advocacy and communication in Washington, DC, and I love to travel, cook, and listen to podcasts. I tutor Chemistry, writing, and Spanish, and I have four years of college-level tutoring experience in all of these subjects, but I also enjoy working with students in grade school and high school. I'm all about talking students through the most effective way to approach scientific problems, writing projects, and studying for classes. I can help with tailoring your writing to your teacher's expectations in areas ranging from lab reports to thesis-driven essays. Finding the studying and learning styles that work best for you (and for the particular class you're taking) is important to being successful, and I'd love to help you in finding them! I have also experienced first-hand the struggles that students can be dealing with along with coursework--ranging from juggling jobs to mental health struggles-- so empathy and trust are essential to the relationship I build with a client.
