I have a BA degree in Economics. I have a MBA degree in Public Accounting. I passed the CPA Exam. I have 13 years experience in private industry accounting. I have subscribed to and read the Journal of Accountancy for many years. Recently I read the following books to refresh my accounting knowledge: More than a Numbers Game: a Brief History of Accounting, by Thomas King/and each of the Dummies Series books on Intermediate Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. I passed the PRAXIS English Language Arts Exam allowing me to become a high-school-level English teacher without an English degree. I've scored in the 90 th percentile (only 10% of test-takers scored higher) on the Verbal section of the GMAT Exam. I have been employed as a substitute teacher with Denver Public Schools successfully since 2018, focusing primarily on English and Math classes.
