I am a second year student at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. I am currently getting my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am also aiming to get my master's degree. I have experience tutoring students throughout high school from being a member of the National Honors Society. Generally, I would tutor students in a variety of fields, including biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, calculus, and english, however I believe that I am most passionate about math. I would like to impart the same enthusiasm I have on my clients, and I would like them to experience the same feeling of accomplishment as I do when learning and understanding a new concept.
I am very proficient in middle school and high school math, ranging from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus AB. Since I recently graduated from high school, I am very well-acquainted with the format of questions that are typically asked and the topics covered by each subject.

I love working with my hands, which is one of the main reasons why I am becoming an engineer. I worked in construction in high school and that job really showed me how the concepts I was learning in math and physics actually applied in real life. I also enjoyed spending time looking at different devices and taking them apart to examine how they worked and if I could improve them. Helping people with math is one of my favorite things to do; math is something that many are afraid of because of having a "not-so-good" teacher at some point who made the concepts very difficult to understand. The potential associated with understanding the fundamentals of algebra and calculus is tremendous, and I feel like everyone should be shown the beauty behind the madness. Apart from academics, I love playing different sports with my friends, including football and basketball. Personally, I find athletics to be very therapeutic and stress-relieving.
