I am an experienced Computer Science teacher with more than seven years of experience teaching College level Computer Science. My favorite subjects to teach are Advanced Placement or AP Computer Science and College level Data Structures and Algorithms courses. One of my proudest accomplishments as a teacher is helping my students to pass the rigorous AP exam. I believe anyone can write programs through hard work, practice, and listening to a teacher or tutor who understands what a student needs to know for the exam.
One might ask him or herself why I am a good tutor and worthy of consideration? There are two reasons. The first is that I was an excellent student myself, and so I know what it takes. I graduated University of Denver, and I graduated with my Masters in Computer Science with Challenging subjects such as Advanced Compliers, Advanced System Programming and Advanced Programming languages Theory class from graduate school while teaching full time.
The other reason is that I have experience teaching in a classroom. I understand what teachers are looking for in good programs, and I know how to prepare students for rigorous tests. My students have ranged from beginners to programming to advanced, and from students with special needs to gifted and talented. I have taught and can teach any student on an individual level.
As a professional teacher, I have years of experience in a classroom setting that has allowed me to learn how to best teach students. Every student is an individual, and I believe every student can learn. Please contact me today to learn more about my methods and to schedule our first lesson.
