Welcome! My name is Jace. I enjoy describing myself as multi-faceted with backgrounds in science, physical therapy, teaching, coaching, and design interests. I'm from Colorado and love all things outdoors including snow and water skiing, scrambling up mountains, and biking. In my spare time I create wood-burned designs. Traveling is always at the top of my list and I also love reading anything and everything, which I believe fuels my fire for learning and teaching.
Working one-on-one happens to be my strength. Between volunteering at an after-school program, tutoring in graduate school, and interacting with patients all day, I am well-practiced at explaining concepts using varying methods and tailoring my teaching to a wide range of individual styles.
Teaching is one of my favorite ways to work. I can speed up and/or slow down the lesson as needed. I like to adjust to your individual learning style and preferences. I want to make sure you "get it" because that is when I know I have done my job. When working with me, expect to work hard and put in the time. However, if you don't understand a concept one way, we will figure out a different way that works and we can try as many as needed. This is your learning, so I always strive for a lot of open communication and dialogue. I'm excited to get started!
