I graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, with my Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Sciences. I plan on returning to school in 2020 to complete a Master of Science in Biomedical Science with a concentration in Clinical Research. Upon completion of my Masters degree, I plan to go to medical school. I primarily tutor in math and science; I have helped students in VPK programs up to college students. Though I have helped in several other subjects before, math and science subject areas are my favorite to teach. I have tutored in various elementary and middle school math and science courses; given computer lessons to students aged 3-12; taught honors/AP/IB courses in high school such as chemistry, biology, algebra, pre-calculus, and statistics; as well as helped students with college-level math and science courses such as biostatistics, biology, and chemistry. Math and science can be incredibly difficult for some students; making a difference in a student's journey and seeing them understand why a problem is solved the way it is, or how they got to the correct answer, is very rewarding. Math and science courses can be very overwhelming, and it becomes easy to get lost in the problem before even starting. As a tutor, I like to break down each problem piece by piece until it makes sense. You must put the pieces of a puzzle together one-by-one before the big picture becomes clear; and understanding math or science is no different. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with my three cats.
