I am a certified English teacher and current graduate student in the same field. I am also a highly-experienced math tutor. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Texas Wesleyan University where I earned a 4.0 GPA in my major work and five Dean's List awards. I graduated with departmental honors after writing a 43-page thesis paper and I was chosen to receive the Ruth Keating Literary Award two years in a row. I also have an Associate's degree from Tarrant County College where I was on the Dean's List both semesters of my final year.
I have over 15 years of experience tutoring in mathematics (K-6, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, and geometry), English (grammar, reading comprehension, writing), and ACT and SAT preparation. I have also tutored pre-AP and AP students in-school as part of the nationally-acclaimed AVID program. I believe my passion for teaching others and my experience combine to make me an effective educator. With my help, you will see improvement in whatever area of English or mathematics you or your student seek competency or improvement in.
