From a very early age, my parents instilled in me the importance of education. My parents expected nothing but the best grades from myself and my two other brothers. Education came first. Me and my older brother, in the spirit of healthy competition, held each other to the highest standard.
My older brother was more gifted than I was as a student, so I know what it's like to need help. It was nice to have my own private tutor who could help me each and every time I needed it. When he went off to college, I had to rely on some of my peers to help me in areas where I needed improvement.
I credit the focus my family put on education for where I am today. I know how important it is, especially in today's competitive job market. If you can establish good habits at an early age, it will carry on throughout your life, if you continue to apply yourself.
My goal is to instill these same qualities as a tutor. Helping kids understand that it's ok to not know everything and struggle at times. As long as they continue to apply themselves, ask for help when needed, and develop good habits, things will work themselves out.
Outside of tutoring, I am a huge sports fan and love to travel. I attend a handful of sporting events each year as well as try to travel to a different country once a year. I also like to eat, play basketball, football, baseball, and lift weights.
