As a researcher interested in plant biology, I am dedicated to inspiring Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) curiosity across all age groups. I have a Bachelors of Science from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine which I completed as a biology major with a minor in anthropology. I also gained more than a year of experience tutoring Bates College students in introductory chemistry.
In the Fall of 2019, I will begin working towards a Ph.D. in plant biology, which is a field of study/research requiring extensive background in mathematics, chemistry, cell and molecular biology, organismal biology, genetics, and genomics all of which I tutor. General biology remains my favorite subject to tutor because the course material is what initially inspired my academic interests.
Outside of academia, I frequent the outdoors. I am a rock and ice climber, an avid trail runner, backcountry skier, and backpacker.
