I am a sophomore at the University of Southern California. I used to tutor kids at my high school in a variety of different subjects, particularly in the IGCSE and IB Diploma curriculums, and I was involved in the Joint Educational Program for a full semester, in which I taught math and english at a local elementary school.
My teaching style focuses on building up a strong foundation of fundamentals, which I believe is the key to succeeding in any subject area. I try to use real-life examples and simple analogies wherever possible to help the student visualize the problem and better understand the concept at hand. Moreover, what makes my teaching style unique is the fact that I strive to understand the academic system and how to work within that system to achieve the best results. I have worked with a variety of age groups and so am comfortable explaining concepts at any level and I understand that it is important to establish a peer relationship with the student so that they can easily communicate their doubts. My diverse academic background lends me the unique ability academic versatility. I've always loved learning and enjoy reviewing concepts and using my understanding of a topic to aid a fellow student.
