I have guided people from age 9 to 90 through learning new computer skills. I hold a Master of Internet Technology from the University of Georgia, and have over ten years of experience as a software developer, and as a tutor, mentor, workshop lead, and teacher.
I was in the Peace Corps in Nepal, and also taught at a boarding school in China. I have traveled a lot and have friends around the globe. I am very comfortable working with people from all cultures. Also, I have as son with ADHD and is on the Autism Spectrum, and I worked with many kids who are like him. I am not an expert in special ed, but feel I have developed a number of successful communication and motivation strategies.
My teaching method is learner focused. I like the learner to partner with me as we decide together how to approach the subject they are working on.
