I am a recent college graduate who has a love for academia and all things nerdy. I currently work in a scientific laboratory doing research on different blood components and I love that I can apply my passion to my work. I am a fluent Spanish speaker and recently completed entomology volunteer work in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru to ensure that animals can return to areas that have been deforested. I have five younger siblings and have always loved helping them with their homework or spending our time in the outdoors doing things like skiing or camping. I have worked as a teacher's assistant in both a pre-school setting and in an organic chemistry college laboratory so I have experience with students of all ages. Science has always been my drive, but education brings joy and seeing people, of all ages, understand what was previously out of their grasp gives me the desire to keep going.
