I am currently in graduate school working on my PhD in nutritional biochemistry. I have always had a passion for learning anything new, especially topics that aren't related to my field. I was a calculus teaching assistant for 3 years in undergrad which is where I discovered my love of teaching. It is so encouraging to me to see students learn and grow academically as they meet their goals; but I also enjoy watching a student's self-confidence transform as they begin to master the subject. My general approach is to determine where a student currently stands on any given topic through practice problems or talking through the material, followed by developing a realistic and specific plan that will allow them to reach their academic and personal goals.
