I attended Binghamton University for my undergraduate studies in Business Management, and I'm from the New York City area originally. I moved to the West Coast for a job at a startup, and I'm a huge fan of the warmer weather.
I'm also a generalist who has a wide ranging experience, from working full time as a software engineer at a small startup to pursuing my own business ventures in logistics and event organizing. I have a passion for people and ideas, which most notably manifests itself in my interests of in psychology, economics, and philosophy.
I has extensive experience in leadership and teaching roles. I've worked as a camp counselor, after-school activities instructor, and currently, I hold part-time positions tutoring math at De Anza College and as a caretaker for Maxim healthcare. Tutoring is a great fit for me since my wide-ranging experience and knowledge, combined with my drive to be an effective communicator allows me to assist students in an empathetic and effective manner.
Also, I struggled with math when I was younger, so once I developed an appreciation and aptitude for it, I was able to transmit the knowledge much more easier. I'm ultimately very empathic towards people who may struggle with the subject, since I was once there myself.
