I hold 2 Masters degrees from Michigan State University. My first is in teaching and curriculum, concentrating in educational psychology. My second is in Education. I completed my undergraduate BA in psychology from UC Davis, focusing my course work in child and human development. Because I have completed my education both in the classroom and in online settings, I have an appreciation for the spectrum of ways that different students learn in both settings.
I am also a ballet teacher, working with ages 2 years through high school as well as working with the adult community division. In their education department, I teach Adaptive Dance, dance for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other sensory sensitivities and work to write and build curriculum.
In my studies towards becoming a teacher I have found that the key to unlocking any student's learning capabilities is molded through inspiring student motivation and finding a personalized approach to reach each student from their own perspective of understanding.
What I love most about teaching is the opportunity to help each student reach their maximum potential through an individualized approach. I feel strongly that total support for a child provides the best learning environment, so I always welcome parent feedback, information, or resources.
