I am a Niagara University graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance with minors in Communication and Writing Studies.
Throughout my time in high school and college, I was recruited to tutor my peers, share notes from class, and lead study sessions before exams. In high school, I took 5 AP courses which allowed me more freedom to fill up my schedule and explore additional interests in college. I also achieved a Regents diploma with Advanced Designation and an SAT score of 1260, so I am interested in assisting people with preparation for standardized tests.
I am a strong writer with experience in journalism and creative writing. I have taken numerous writing intensive courses, from Media Writing and Digital Journalism to Playwriting and Creative Nonfiction.
I have gained one-on-one interview experience by serving as a staff writer and editor for my college's school newspaper. This experience connected me with different students, faculty, and administrators and allowed me to both interact with people and write.
I also am very interested in tutoring math, particularly at the middle school and high school level. It is a subject that has always come naturally to me and although it is not relating to my major, I have used free courses in college as math electives to broaden my skills.
As a theatre major, I am a communicator. I have learned how to effectively share stories and ideas with people of different ages. It has made me a very strong public speaker and an enthusiastic coach and mentor as well as an empathetic individual with a desire to make a difference.
My hobbies include reading, playwriting, drawing and painting, and logic problems.
