I have a passion for teaching and training and motivating students to excellence. I was motivated and inspired as a student to seek excellence and so I want to pay it forward and do the same for my students.
I have worked as an academic tutor for Youth Policy Institute where I created lesson plans and curriculum to tutor my students. We worked with pretesting and preparation for tutoring sessions and I designed creative material to make the tutoring session interesting. I also tutored residents at low-income housing through a company called Abode Communities. At this job I was also a Computer Lab Instructor and was able to help and train students to use the computer or increase their computer skills.
I attended Liberty University online and California Design College. I also read a lot and love to learn so I am constantly in pursuit of an educated mind and enhanced brain power.
I love tutoring reading, English, computers, business concepts and psychology. These subjects are my specialties and I have fun engaging in them and assisting others to learn more about them.
I like to be creative and interesting so I don't always use a conventional style of teaching. I like to take some time to learn about my students learning style and then create a session around that learning style. I think it is great to use several different methods of teaching and so I try to incorporate a style that fits the personality of my student as well as their interests.
Outside of academia I love to dance, read, meditate, interact on computers through social media and color.
