I am passionate about helping students for the very simple reason that I want to see them succeed in their learning pursuits. Education has been a major factor in shaping who I am as a person and I don't take my role in teaching lightly as a result. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Cultural Studies. I am currently working towards earning my Master of Arts in American Studies at the University of South Florida. Since I came to USF, I've worked regularly with students as a teaching assistant within the Humanities and Cultural Studies department. While working in this position I have met with students one-on-one to help them understand course materials and improve their writing. I currently tutor a variety of subjects, but I have the most love for American history, writing, and editing essays. These are my favorite subjects to teach, as well as the ones I'm most adept at, because they offer the most opportunities for finding fun interesting ways to connect with what you're learning.
In my spare time, I'm very passionate about tracking down new art to enjoy. Whether it be music, literature, film, etc., I'm always looking to find something new or weird that I never knew I would be interested in.
