I recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Statistics and Psychology. Since graduating, I am working at Barnes Jewish for a OBGYN lab as a Biostatistician to increase pregnancy rates!
I first started tutoring in college with a program called "Peer Led Team Learning" where I led a group of 12 students in challenging problems for Calculus 2. This really sparked my love for tutoring math. Math can be a very frustrating subject for so many people and I truly believe that with help and hard work, everyone can do math. I loved the feeling when one of my students finally understand a concept they couldn't grasp before. Through PLTL, I learned how to explain concepts in multiple ways because all of my students learned differently.
I continued tutoring underprivileged students in the St. Louis area in math for grades 1-5. I truly loved this as it was a great way to give back. Math can take you everywhere and I especially love to see young girls find an unknown love for math!
Outside of tutoring, I love to to cook (my specialities are homemade pasta and salmon), yoga, and biking in Forest Park.
