Education is my passion. I am a life-long learner and I love learning, but love teaching even more. I am passionate about helping other students learn, because I know the importance of education. I am the only college graduate in my immediate family and education has opened up so many doors of opportunities for me. I want to help as many students that I can, and help them have the same opportunity to reach their educational goals and full learning potential - to reach higher heights of success.

I am an ESL/ELA online teacher. I have ten (10) years' experience teaching, tutoring and mentoring students (K-12) and college students. I was a "Student Ambassador and Student Leader" in college and I tutored other college students in various subjects in my spare time, mostly math, writing, MS-Word and Excel. I also am highly skilled in Phonics and elementary math. Math is my favorite course to tutor and it warms my heart when I see the excitement on my students' faces, when they get a correct answer, because math can be very challenging for some students in all grade levels.

I have a Master's Degree in Educational Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources Management from Strayer University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I was inducted into four (4) Honor societies for my academic performance, accomplishments and success in college - (1) Golden Key National Honor Society, (2) Alpha Chi National Honor Society, (3) National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and (4) Alpha Sigma, Lambda National Honor Society.

My philosophy is to make learning fun, give lots of smiles, use any necessary props or learning tools that are effective to help students accomplish learning objectives/goals, and most importantly, always give lots of positive feed back, encouragement and praise, even when students are struggling. All these things will help students stay motivated and striving to learn. Effective teaching results in effective learning.

When I'm not teaching, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, read, write, play computer games, and take long walks.

I am driven for success and failure is not an option. As a result of my high academic achievements and success, I am highly confident that I can make a difference for any student that seeks my leadership in tutoring them, to help them improve their academic performance and success, helping them to reach their full learning potential, so they can be prepared and be very successful in any career that they choose.
