Hello students (and parents),
I am a twenty-seven year old independent Pre-Calculus, English and Spanish tutor and I love it! It all started off when I was still a fairly new college student at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. I started off posting ads on Craigslist to help others out with their problems in their school studies. And then, I started tutoring fellow students in my then-school's library for about four days out of the week.

What do I love about tutoring? I love to teach others a new skill that they can use to succeed in real life. I also love the fact that students show me that they enjoy what I teach and also find new confidence in facing the world with whatever obstacles they may be facing. I definitely love the freedom and autonomy that comes with this job. Lastly, I love the act of engaging intellectual stimulation between student and teacher/tutor.

Pre-Calculus is something that I love so much that I even sometimes dream about jumping and flying in outer space on a coordinate grid system! The unit circle also appears in my Dream Land!

My teaching style is holistic, not linear. Many traditional teachers in public schools in America use a curriculum-based method of educating students. This means dispersing the teaching material in chronological order, assuming that the student has learned and comprehends all prior material. Many students are left behind because of this failing linear approach. I, on the other hand, look at the student as a whole and ask myself if the student fully understands the concepts I am teaching or have taught. Does Amy understands how the unit circle works?

How can I help Nkrumah better approach proving trig identities? Aaliyah. She seems to be struggling with logarithms. Let me show her how to to tackle this. Whatever your needs are in the World Pre-Calculus, I've got you covered.

I earned my TEFL (Teaching English as Foreign Language) certificate certified by the International Recognition Accreditation &; Recognition Council, which is based in England. Some call this an ESL (English as a Second Language) certificate. My ESL teaching approach focuses on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Well, thanks for reading and I'll see you soon.
