I am a current urban high school English teacher and have been teaching for 11 years. I have experience teaching Juniors and preparing them for the ACT test and AP students working toward taking their AP tests in May. I truly enjoy working with my students to understand and appreciate literacy skills. I hope to instill a passion for lifelong learning in my students. I have been recognized as a WISN-12 Top Teacher and a MMABSE Teacher of the Year.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education. I attended Carthage College where I earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership. I furthermore attended Viterbo University to obtain my Director of Curriculum and Instruction license.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, movies, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
