I have a bachelors of science in Kinesiology, and am working on my PhD in Molecular Biology at USC. Over the years I've studied many different fields of biology including, exercise science, molecular biology, and evolution. I have experience teaching genetics, evolutionary biology, and general biology in a university setting as a teaching assistant. I have also given lectures and tutored elementary and middle school students in subjects like nutrition, general biology, and exercise science. I believe learning biology should be much more than memorizing pathways, but also critically processing how and why those pathways have developed over millions of years. My tutoring style reflects that belief, as I will always emphasize comprehension over memorization. I am passionate about making learning biology an approachable and fun experience for students. I intend to pursue a career in teaching after my doctoral work is completed.
