I'm an undergraduate student at CSUN currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree. I have been tutoring for the past 3 years in classes related to my major; some include statistics, statics, linear algebra, differential equations, calculus I, II, II and many more major courses.
I prepare lessons with examples and then a separate sheet of problems to be solved and graded by the end of our session. I would go over the concept with my students as many times as they need and solve practice examples. A small quiz would be given at the beginning of every following session to always have my students challenged and prepared.
If any of my students would like to go over specific problems that they have, they would have to let me know ahead of time so I would be fully prepared for them when we meet.
From experience, I have learned that patience is key, because it is very important to know that not everyone has the same learning capacity and understanding. Therefore, when I am tutoring my students I am always patient and ready to go over the material as much as needed, with positive energy, until he or she grasp it fully.
Tutoring is the perfect challenge for my knowledge so I am looking forward to helping you in delivering as clear as I can and have you also at the same time actually enjoy learning!
