I am a multi-talented graduate of Xavier University and Bowling Green State University, where I have earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business. My professional work experience includes blogging/online writing, project management/support, office/administrative work, client service/customer service, business-to-business (B2B) work, active phone work, human resources/recruiting, and market research. After 10 years of predominantly business work, I have decided to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. I am a firm believer in education, career development, and work-life balance.
Currently, I am looking to provide tutoring in: 1) grade school Math; 2) college level Business/Business Writing; 3) Microsoft Office; and 4) ESL work. I prefer online tutoring but may consider in-person tutoring for good matches. In the past, I have worked as a tutor in Math, Citizenship, and Reading for 6th, 7th, and 3rd graders and ESL/business at the college level. I have also tutored and trained peers everywhere from high school level to professional level. As a testament of my writing skills, I have had 2 counseling professors ask to use my papers as examples for peers and future students at John Carroll. Overall, I strive to help my students also learn, grow, develop, and achieve success in academics and in life.
In my spare time, I enjoy doing freelance work, watching and playing sports, listening to and playing music (mostly piano, some rhythm guitar), reading, writing, drawing, and video games. I currently run two small blogs (one about Business/Education; one about the Cleveland Cavaliers/NBA basketball) and have written articles and blog posts for organizations such as the BGSU MBA program, the Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the Association for Talent Development, and Cover 32 Browns. I have also written, co-written, and edited documents for business development, market research, and freelance work.
