I have my Bachelors in Environmental Engineering and my Masters in Library & Information Science. I just returned from a year of living in the Panamanian rainforest where I taught Design Thinking as part of a study abroad program for college students. I have been a teacher for over 4 years in different schools including a Physics and Engineering teacher at a high school in Denver. The first class I ever taught was a creativity course to engineering students while I was in graduate school at the University of Illinois. The chance to help students expand what they believe they are capable of has stuck with me ever since. I love helping students apply any subject matter to what they are naturally interested in and passionate about. I enjoy tutoring students in math, science, and test preparation by using relatable examples that help tricky concepts come to life. I work with students to understand their learning style in order to best explain content in a way that resonates with how you think. Living in Colorado I am able to spend lots of time in the mountains camping, climbing, skiing, and cooking food with friends around a fire. I am also in the process of starting an academic coaching service to help students navigate the challenges choices that come with choosing a college and what to study.
