I graduated from with a degree in Asian Studies. This interdisciplinary major allowed me to take classes in history, literature, philosophy, and political science.
During college, I worked as a youth counselor multiple summers at the Chinese Community Center's Summer Youth Camp. Prior to becoming a full-time teacher, I was a nanny for a family with 2 children ages 3 and 7. I have experience lesson planning, conducting science experiments, facilitating outdoor and indoor games, teaching arts and crafts, preparing meals and snacks, and taking children on trips to museums and libraries.
I am content certified in secondary level social studies. I have completed training in classroom behavior management, child development, and literacy.
In my free time, I am a podcast reporter for Loa and a pro-democracy activist. I also care for my American Eskimo dog, Camus.
