I am an International MBA graduate with a passion for foreign languages. I lived in Costa Rica for 6 months while studying Spanish and then served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru for three years, gaining fluency during this time (Advanced High - ACTFL).
During my graduate studies I spent one year in Beijing, China studying Mandarin and was able to attain level 4/6 HSK.
Having studied Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, and Italian, I am better able to help ESL students as I understand what common issues arise for learners of a foreign language. My classes are fun and energetic, and I encourage my students always voice their opinion. I utilize music, and movies to help students have fun while they are learning, as this is my favorite way to learn a new language too!
My favorite languages to teach are Spanish, ESL, and Chinese and conversation is what I love most with any language, so this is my strongest area of teaching as well.
I also love yoga, organic gardening, and exploring nature. I try to minimize my carbon footprint wherever possible by riding my bike to commute, and buying goods from companies that I want to support with my dollar.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I hope you have a great rest of your day!
