Hi! My name is Dr. Geoff Reynolds. I have been in the teaching field for over ten years. I have worked with students as young as Kindergarten through doctoral candidates.
I have three degrees in music education. After graduating with a bachelor in music education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ., I was hired by the Washington Opera housed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Nation's Capital. I sang professionally nearly full-time for ten years. During that time, I also taught public school for a few years and worked as a tutor.
In pursuit of knowledge, I matriculated at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona (Wildcats). There I completed my Master's and Ph.D. in Music Education. Secondary areas of study were Developmental Psychology, Technology, and French.
I taught undergraduates and graduate students for several years. I earned tenure and promotion my third year teaching university students.
I published several articles and was a frequent presenter at national and international conferences and symposia.
I taught a variety of classes including video and audio editing, Research and Writing, Research Design, Tests and Measurements, Vocal Anatomy and Human Development, Psychology of Music, World Music Cultures, Brain Anatomy and Vocal Pathology.
Seeking new opportunities, I decided to leave teaching and work as a freelance tutor. In addition, I maintain a full schedule as a technical and academic writer. You will find my essays and articles published in The Huffington Post, FluentU, General Music Today, Kodaly Envoy, the Texas Home School Association Coalition among others.
